Why does the Wii suck so bad, it seems that only games that come out for it are all shovel wear I have had this console for sometime and I haven't bought a new game for almost 2 years. My wife picked up Donkey Kong country a while back but there is nothing I find even remotely interesting for it. I have been waiting for a new Fire Emblem game to come out but haven't heard if thats even going to happen.

With the PS3 move and Kinect both of which I haven't tried is there even a reason for anyone that dosen't plan to mod the wii to even buy it.

To be honest, I've been a Wii owner for two years now, and no, there isn't any real reason to buy one except to hack it. There are only roughly 30 or so really good games for it, but nothing so far that I would consider a "must play". The only exception to that is MadWorld, it's not a "must play" game, but it's one that I would suggest to anyone that loves bloody, ultra-violent games with laugh your ass off commentary that follows your every move. Yeah, unfortunately 99% of the Wii's library is complete garbage, but there are a few gems that stand out. To be perfectly honest, the only reason I bought a Wii was because Deth had told me about this thing I could get called FlatMii that you connected to the Wii and your PC and the FlatMii acted kind of like Daemon's Tools because it was a "virtual" DVD drive on a chip. Once I found out that they had come up with a software hack that did the same thing for free, I was sold. To be honest, I've only actually bought one game for the Wii, and that's WiiPlay and the only reason I did is because it came with a WiiMote  The Wii is good for casual gamers, like my wife (she's extremely casual unfortunately) or for little kids. Don't get me wrong, there are some good games, but most of them, just like with Nintendo's last few consoles, are released by Nintendo. Here is a quick list of the games I've played that I've actually enjoyed:

MadWorld
No More Heroes
No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle
Red Steel
Red Steel 2 <---Much, much better than the first one
New Super Mario Bros.
Metroid Prime 3: Corruption
Spider-Man: Web of Shadows
Star Wars: The Force Unleashed
Super Mario Galaxy
Cooking Mama <----Don't laugh, the game is addictive
Wario Ware: Smooth Moves
The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
A Boy and his Blob
DeBlob
Kirby's Epic Yarn
Metal Slug Anthology
Mario Kart
Metroid: Other M <---it was okay, think Super Metroid on steroids minus the exploration
Monster Hunter Tri
NBA Jam
Rygar: The Battle of Argus
Tatsunoko vs. Capcom
The House of the Dead: Overkill
Wii Sports Resort

Considering there are 300+ games for the Wii, this list is pretty pitiful to be honest. I can say however, the Kinect is a hell of a lot of fun. My kids play it a hell of a lot more than they do the Wii and even my wife plays it. It's about 100X more accurate than the Wii without the learning curve of holding the WiiMote and Nunchuck. So, in a nutshell, no, there really isn't any reason to buy the Wii unless you are going to hack it to be honest. I think the only thing coming out soon that may change that is The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, but even it would have to be a completely amazing and innovative game to save the Wii.

they're not exclusives, but all the LEGO games, especially the Wii version of Star Wars: The Complete Saga are a lot of fun

I like Cooking Mama as well but didn't care for the sequel.
I checked on wii channel and it shows how many hours I have played each game on the Wii. Fire Emblem has over 1000 hours and in 2nd place is Rune Factory Frontier with 50 hours everything after is very low.
I bought the Wii for Fire Emblem so I guess its got its use.

I think the Wii is best console for exclusives this generation.
There are only a handful of Xbox PS3 exclusives that aren't also on PC and with the exception of MGS4 I really don't care about most of them.
The only Wii games that are also on PC are the Lego games and probably a couple others but not many.
There aren't really many games on it I'm looking forward to right now though.
Pretty much the only ones I'm looking forward to are the new Zelda, Monado(Xenoblade), The Conduit 2 and I guess Dragon Quest X was announced on it as well.
It's too bad The Last Story's not coming to the US.
